I love my job. Capturing beautiful memories for couples on their special day, it really doesn't get any better...except when its one of your closest friends. I have known Katy and her sister Shelly since we were so small. Now we are all grown up and big things are happening! Tim is so kind, considerate and easy going...such a perfect match for Katy. They chose Asheville to gather friends and family, a unique town bursting with personality. We really love photographing weddings. Capturing details of one of the most important days two people will every experience is a task we don't take lightly! When we ask what photos can't be missed...the grooms reaction the moment his bride walks down the isle tops the list. On this perfect summer day, you didn't have to be a close friend of Dakota's to know how he felt about Kerri. As soon as the doors opened revealing an absolutely stunning bride with her crystal blue eyes, his expression told everything there was to know. That look is a girls dream. Tucked away in the mountains of Western North Carolina you will find Hawkesdene House - a luxurious mountain estate offering amazing views and cozy accommodations. It is for this very reason Lisa and Paul chose Hawkesdene to bring close family and friends together for a weekend long wedding celebration. Everyone was overjoyed on the day of the ceremony. A busstling morning led to happy tears and the picturesque reception faded into an evening of intimate reflections on this happy couple and their exciting future. Ceremony and Reception - 5 Star Lodge Morganton Ga
Maritza and Brett chose to spend their wedding day with loved ones wrapped in the beauty of the North Georgia mountains. Clouds covered the morning sky creating the perfect ambiance for this beautiful couple's celebration. Everyone was so excited anticipating the day's events! I adored the simple elegance of the colors and decor this Bride chose, and by the end of the night I absolutely adored her! Photographing a wedding is such a neat experience. There is so much going on and so much to do. By the end, you have a completely different outlook then when you started. And if you're lucky enough to have a Bride and Groom like these two, you just don't want it to end! I am happy to begin 2015 with this sweet couple! Jordan and Bryan were married at Young Harris Chapel which is just a few yards from the spot where they first saw each other. We started photo's early that day. I was glad for that because I could not stop snapping shots of this gorgeous girl adorned with fiery, red hair. Bryan is a lucky guy...but with his adorable charm and the way he looks at her...I think Jordan has found quite the catch as well. To be honest, these two are a perfect match. This day was filled with so much excitement and love, shared with friends and family. It's a blessing to get to be a part of events like these.

Its crazy how relationships begin. A few years ago I was passing through Franklin and saw this beautiful old red truck parked at Mulligans. I was just starting my photography business and always looking for new photo ops, so I marched in to find the owner. I had to get some shots of that old classic. Luckily for me he was an absolute sweetheart. I got to take pictures of his truck and eventually became good friends with his nephew Josh. Fast forward a few years to find another girl passing by Mulligans. She found something she just had to have...but it wasn't a picture of an old car. From the moment they met, Josh and Kristin never looked back and we couldn't be happier for them! These two generate so much fun. Every day is a party and everyone is treated like family!

Headed to Charlotte N.C. the other day to photograph my very first Mehndi! In Indian culture, it is customary to begin the wedding celebrations with Mehndi, or Henna tattooing of the Bride in order to beautify her for her new family. I am so thankful for Reena with Charlotte Henna Mehndi, and the beautiful Bride Anu and her family for letting me be apart of this unique occasion!

It's crazy how time goes by just so fast! Five years ago I was taking pictures of this adorable senior girl, Kaleigh, hopping around town from one location to another. Soon she was off to college in Athens for four years...graduating...and now...here she is saying "I do" to her high school sweetheart Chad. And as far as sweethearts go, Chad is exactly that...one of the kindest guys you could ever meet. Everything came together on this day so perfectly. Deep blue clouds rolled in and seemed to bring a peaceful ambiance throughout the entire day. Not to mention they matched Kaleigh's colors perfectly -- definitely something only I as her photographer would be excited about! Bridesmaids tried holding back tears through the ceremony, and groomsmen tried to keep their tux's on till the end of the reception -- but neither happened. Everyone enjoyed great food, talking and dancing while the band played till the sparklers were lit to send off Kaleigh and Chad. Congratulations you two, thank you so much for letting me be apart of this day!

Ceremony and Reception - Indigo Falls, Dallas Ga
There are times in life when you come across something so beautiful you are held completely captivated. For Michael, I'm sure it was Alexis - she was simply breathtaking. And the entirety of the event followed after. Rain came and went without a worry, leaving the area glistening. Everyone couldn't stop raving about the beautiful venue. Indigo Falls offered so many awesome photo ops, we quickly tried to take advantage of each and every one of them! One favorite was the bridge where we took the T-Rex photo...which was on Alexis and Michael's "must" list, HaHa! I had so much fun with this couple and bridal party. Amidst the celebration though, everyone took time to remember their fallen heroes, that was special. Congratulations Alexis and Michael! May your life together hold as much happiness, humor and honor as this day did.

Ceremony and Reception - Neverland Farms, Cleveland Ga
When I was in 6th grade my mom made me go to summer camp two and a half hours from our home...I was completely uninterested. I did go though, and the next year and the next after that. Those were some of the best memories I have as a kid and I met so many awesome campers including this one crazy girl named Georganna. Fastforward 15 years and I get a message on Facebook from Georganna saying she lives in my town! What a lovely small world we have. I was so excited to photograph her amazing day with all the people that love her and Logan so much. Georganna and Logan chose to celebrate at Neverland Farms and I could brag on the venue almost as much as the couple. Neverland is just a fairytale location with amazing places to photograph and incredible ambiance. Every one could not get over how beautiful the location and festivities were. The bridal party was so fun and relaxed, up for anything and completely excited to be there. This day was unforgettable - from the beginning...to the very end :).

So let me tell you a little bit about Ally and Jonathan....they are simply the cutest couple ever, and they like to climb! Yep, when these two are not busy being the most perfect bride and groom, they can be found crushing some of the hardest climbing routes in the South East. I told Ally we had to incorporate climbing gear in their pictures and was so impressed with the "Chinese Knot" she made with climbing rope. Because I know her I wouldn't describe Ally as much of a "girly girl", but on her wedding day she seriously looked like a China doll, absolutely Stunning!! Now I have to brag on Jonathan or "JHung" for a minute. Most wedding decisions are made by the bride, but since Ally started her new job in Texas, JHung planned most of the important wedding details, scouted the amazing venue at The Peachtree Club, and even chose Ally's beautiful dress! Most importantly though, the excitement these two had for each other in celebrating their happy occasion was undeniable. Getting to photograph this day for them was an absolute pleasure. I'm so excited to start the year with Claire and Zak's wedding! I have known Claire for a few years and it's awesome to see where the Lord has brought her spiritually as well her relationship with Zak. Zak is so amazing and he has such a heart for ministry. I am so happy for them and I am not the only one. They are surrounded by a wonderful support team. Friends and family came as far as Colorado to celebrate their wonderful day with tears of joy, love and prayers. During the reception, toasting and dancing was followed with a spectacular air guitar performance by Claire and her "Daddy" ending on the floor, which left the crowd cheering! I simply adore a good love story. Lambdin (first of all, how cool is her name!?) and Adam met in elementary school, lost touch then reconnected years later to wind up exchanging vows in front of friends and family in the beautiful mountains of North Georgia. These two were so sweet, full of energy and excitement. They let me be apart of their day by being their photographer and making their cake and cupcakes. Just an awesome day!

Such a wonderful spring day for a wedding! Becky and Jake were both so sweet and laid back. She had the cutest ideas for her party favors and table settings and I absolutely adored the confetti thrown after they were announced as a couple! Guests came from far north and south to celebrate with these two and had the best time. So glad to get to be apart of their special day.
Brandy and I have been friends for a wonderfully long time...long enough for me to witness some pretty serious stages of her life. On March 23, 2013 I was lucky enough to be around when she said "I Do" to Austin Franklin -the absolute PERFECT guy for her. As you know, I am blessed to be apart of a few weddings each year, camera in hand...but this time I attended as none other than her Maid-of-Honor! So I was pretty darn excited for her...and me ;). And you know us artsy people, we love any opportunity to put our creative skills to use... so when she put me in charge of making the bouquets, wedding cake, grooms cake, cupcakes, centerpiece frames, engagement pictures, bridal pictures and assume control of the chalkboard I was all too proud and happy to help out. As the day unfolded it brought a lot of adoring guests, two beautiful newly weds, one amazing wedding...and a sick maid of honor. But it was all worth it. Thank you Brandy and Austin for letting me play such a special a role in your spectacular day, I love you guys!
